School of the Arts - Taste of the Arts

Taste of the Arts 2018

Taste of the Arts (aka TOTA) is a free community arts event for children Grades 1 - 8.

Bring the kids to Taste of the Arts on Saturday January 27th at the Gibson Centre in Alliston! This is a drop-in event and you can stop by between 10am and 4pm. Kids will get the chance to move from activity to activity to see what really interests them. There will be drumming, piano, culinary, vocal, visual arts, dance and drama activities available. And it’s FREE! Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to try it all!

To give your children time to try it all, they will need just over 2 hours to rotate through all the activities. Come early to ensure you have time, our exciting free classes fill up quickly!

Participants will be guided from activity to activity by our staff and volunteer team. Parents will be asked to wait in our comfortable waiting area where coffee, tea and some snacks will be for sale. You can sign your children in and pick them up when they are done if you do choose but you must sign them in AND pick them up with a signature.

We are so looking forward to having participants enjoy their time with us. Please remember that this event is for children grades 1-8 and children younger than 6 years will be too young and unable to enjoy the activities prepared. Children must be comfortable participating without the presence of their parents as we simply do not have room for that many people to be moving throughout the building at the same time.
