Sarah Klady was introduced to dance at the age of 3, at the York Dance Academy. Over time, she studied different styles of dance at a competitive level, including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, and contemporary, as well as ethnic styles, such as African jazz and Bollywood.
Sarah performed often and competed for nine years, earning an award for her positive attitude and technical capabilities in 2017. The same year, she was elected president of the dance component of the Arts Huron program, at Huron Heights Secondary School. Since then, she has lead many dance based activities throughout the school, and has been a primary organizer in preparing workshops as well as performances.
Sarah began teaching dance classes in 2015, and has since taught dance intensives, camps, private lessons, and regularly scheduled classes. She remains a supply teacher at York Dance Academy in Newmarket and Aurora, and leads multiple choreographic works through the Arts Huron Program.
Sarah is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with the students at the Gibson Centre. She hopes to motivate others to use dance as a form of expression in their lives, and to enjoy the movement as much she does.
