The Gibson Centre, beyond the Opening Day Celebrations in July 2007, has become a vibrant arts and cultural centre in the Town of New Tecumseth.

As a destination, we are home to the 54 Plus Centre, the New Tecumseth and Area Arts Council, as well as offering our community live theatre, international film, art galleries, gift shop and workshop studios for young and old. The Gibson Centre has become a significant part of the economic development of the Town of New Tecumseth as the refurbished building has revitalized the area.

In October 2006, our building was an empty shell. It is now a bustling hive of activity offering over 60 live performances annually, 15 art shows annually, 20 plus weddings and numerous corporate and special functions.

As we grow, our financial needs have changed from renovations to operations.

The $1.5 million raised for capital expenditures allowed the building to transform "from factory to fabulous". To those who supported the project, we are eternally grateful.
